Summary
While Brother Waqar counters the theory of ‘first ijma‘ presented by Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, he ultimately agrees with it. In the process, he probably reads too much into the Ahadith, ignores the built-in context of 3: 144, ignores usage of the phrase ‘qad khalat’ and then reaches a conclusion diametrically opposite to the most logical conclusion (in my humble opinion).
I will address this specific issue at this time, not question the authenticity of the Ahadith, and ignore the host of other issues around Masih Dajjal (Antichrist), Mahdi and Masih ibn Maryam (Jesus).
