Part-2 Word “tawaffa”

Quran 6:60

“And it is He who takes your souls by night and knows what you have committed by day. Then He revives you therein that a specified term may be fulfilled. Then to Him will be your return; then He will inform you about what you used to do.”

The word “yatawaffaa kum” here is used in meaning of taking away the soul but not death, because He also says He revives whoever He wills.

In the next Ayah he says:
“And He is the subjugator over His servants, and He sends over you guardian-angels until, when death comes to one of you, Our messengers take him, and they do not fail [in their duties].”

The word “al mautu” is used as “death”. The word next to “mautu” is “tawaffahu rusuluna” meaning “Messengers Take him“. So tawaffa doesn’t NECESSARILY mean as “death” it means “to take away“.

Part-1 Word “Raf’a”

In Ayah 3:55 the majority of Muslims consider rafa’ as “raise up” and tawaffika as “to take”, on the contrary Jama’t-e-Ahmadiyyah stresses different meanings according to their needs. Sometimes English and Urdu translations vary alot in meanings as well. They might says Raf’a means “raising up after death” or if required they’ll change their stance and say it means “raised his level in Jannah”, these kind of meanings change while you are in a debate with them. If Allah meant to say “ranks” he would say “ranks” not “maqaam” or “makaan”. Do you think Allah would confuse people playing with words?
